The surroundings are terrific, and breakfast at the hotel next door was very good. The house itself is old and a bit bare-bones, but it felt like a genuine guesthouse, unlike most of the others, which are really hotels.

The beds were comfortable, and breakfast was an open buffet. The “kitchen” is just a water boiler and microwave.

The forest around the cozy rooms is amazing, and makes this a great base for walks in the mountains.

The beds were the best part. I found the guesthouse very disappointing and poor value for money. The room was small, with nowhere to store suitcases, which apparently you shouldn't have. The sink was tiny and had no shelf, mirror, light, or enough hooks. One bedside bulb was broken. There’s no shared room in the building, and the kitchenette is poorly equipped, with almost no cutlery or plates. No tea towels or cleaning cloths either. The hand shower head fell apart as soon as I used it and wouldn’t screw back together. Things felt neglected, badly maintained, and poorly planned. Our tour operator said sauna use was meant to be included in the price, but we were told it now costs extra. Breakfast was varied and good, though several tour groups crowded the room again. It felt like making money mattered more than guest comfort. Frustrating, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
