Samy was so welcoming and kind, and the beds were really comfortable. Everything was spotless, too. We had delicious soup for dinner and fresh waffles in the morning, which you don’t get everywhere. Our best overnight stay in Iceland. Highly recommend it!

The evening soup and the huge, authentic Icelandic breakfast were such a treat. We loved our stay, especially because our host was about as kind and gracious as anyone could be.

We slept so well in the warm room and comfy bed, and the view was lovely. The house has a traditional feel but is clearly well cared for. Our very friendly host offered dinner and breakfast to all the guests. One of our best nights in Iceland!

What made this Iceland trip stay a highlight was the host’s genuine hospitality. We were welcomed so warmly, almost like visiting a close friend.

That Saturday night in the hot tub is the part I remember most vividly, apart from the meals. A light snowfall started, then the northern lights began glowing softly. I stayed the weekend of October 4-6 in 2013, and the kind host from more than a decade ago, who was also an excellent cook, made the visit one of my most treasured memories. Thank you for such memorable hospitality!
