Sheep, horses, and cattle outnumber people here by a lot. The place is clean, spacious, and practical, with a small fridge and a microwave. I heated some prepared meals, though I didn't cook a full meal. On a clear night, just opening the front door gives you a chance to see the northern lights. You can also get a great view of EYJAFJALLAJÖKULL glacier when the sky is clear. One thing to know: the final 2km are on a gravel road. Any car should manage it, just drive slowly.

Waking up to that beautiful morning view made us so happy. The room was comfortable, clean, and convenient, and there were laundry facilities available.

A lovely place to relax, even though it's a bit off the beaten path. It was furnished wonderfully, with good amenities for cooking, showering, and sleeping.

This was our best stay in Iceland. It’s in a remote area but has all the essentials, including a kitchen with an oven and induction stove for preparing food. Buy groceries beforehand, since the nearest city is around half an hour away, maybe more. There’s free parking, and the room has a great view. If the sky is clear and the KP index is high, you can see the Northern lights right from the window. Glacier Lagoon is about 3 hours away, but the good roads mean the drive doesn't feel exhausting.

The apartment was cozy, nice, and well equipped, and we didn't miss a thing. The beds were comfortable, and it felt like home. We also liked the surroundings and didn't hear any other guests. We'd come back without hesitation.
