It worked well as a stop before our early airport trip, and there were plenty of towels, hooks, shelf space for toiletries, plus lots of crockery and kitchen supplies. The bathroom was roomy, though its sensor light went out while my friend was showering because it doesn’t reach that area. There was nowhere to hang the tea towel, either. The place looked clean and nicely decorated at first, but the separate recycling bins still had the previous guest’s rubbish in them. With the sofa bed open for three people, the room felt very cramped and we had to shift the table to get our suitcases around. We also found it cooler than we wanted and couldn’t turn on the heaters.

Mrs. Bernhard was so kind and helpful, and we really appreciated her free ride to the airport. The room had a very comfortable bed, plus coffee, tea, and a fridge. WiFi and Apple TV worked well, and the bathroom was spacious and modern with a great shower. It’s a quiet spot, under a 10-minute drive from the airport. There’s a grocery store a block away, and shops, restaurants, parks, and the water are about two blocks away. Excellent place to stay in Keflavik!

The private room was spotless and had its own shower. It felt like staying in someone’s family home, not a guesthouse, and the hosts gave us space without being intrusive. The rule about taking off shoes and being respectful actually made me feel more welcome. The bus stop is right around the corner, and the house is close to the airport. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. If the hosts read this, thank you for making our time in your beautiful country even more special.

We had a great last night in Iceland here before flying out the next morning. Our studio was clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom. It’s handy for finding food or groceries, and the owners can also drive you to the airport. I’d definitely recommend it.
