Getting to shops, restaurants, coffee places and roads leading elsewhere was fairly easy, and the apartment hotel itself is new and modern. The lighting in our room was very dim, though. At night, we couldn't get fresh air without opening the balcony door, which other people could easily access. During the day we could open it to let in more light. We stayed for a week, and these problems weren't fixed. The garage setup was awkward: from inside, someone had to get out of the car and use a security code on the right-hand wall to open it; coming in from outside, we could enter the code and drive in. The garage alarm went off during our stay and was blaring when we arrived. There was no staff on site to shut it off, so I texted them, but they didn't reply right away. There is no one at the premises, and any issues have to be reported by text. It was a somewhat pleasant stay overall.

A good choice for a short visit: the location is handy for the supermarket and bus stops, and the rooms are stylish with clean bathrooms. A few things got inconvenient after a while. The bathroom door has no handle, and the bed sits right against a cold concrete wall without a headboard. The windows are very high, around 2.5 metres up, and the little vent at the top is hard to reach.

The rooms were lovely and had everything we needed for a five-day budget stay: washing machines, hairdryers, a kitchenette, fridge, freezer and utensils. Bonus is right nearby for affordable groceries. We shopped on the first day and cooked for the rest of our stay. Bus 4 stops nearby and goes straight to central Reykjavík, roughly every 15-30 minutes depending on the day. It was always on time. We had two problems. On the first day, the PIN sent through our booking company didn't open the front door, which caused a lot of panic. We contacted the staff on WhatsApp and they replied right away, fixing it within 10 minutes. The hob in Room 303 also didn't work, so food we'd bought that needed frying went to waste. The staff were very quick and responsive on WhatsApp, and handled the issues well. I'm happy with the service and grateful for the stay.

We spent our last night in Iceland here, and it was a great place to end the trip. Restaurants, a grocery store and a cool little microbrewery were all within walking distance. The apartment was clean, modern and well equipped. Our campervan was too large for the garage, but communication about other parking options was great. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The location works especially well if you have a car. Rooms are roomy and comfortable, the beds are super comfy, and everything feels brand new and clean. Details throughout are well thought out and simple to use. There are free washers and dryers on every floor.
