We really enjoyed our stay. The place feels rustic and carries a lot of history, which makes it memorable. The owners are so welcoming, the food is excellent, and the location makes it easy to get out to the puffins, beaches, and hiking in that rugged landscape.

My boyfriend and I camped here and had a lovely stay. The woman working at reception, the bar, and the restaurant was so welcoming. Our laundry was really wet from the humid weather, and she kindly let us dry it indoors. Thank you :)

Dinner and breakfast were both good, with a decent choice of food, and I’d gladly come back for the setting alone. I stayed one night in July on a small group Westfjords tour, in an en-suite room with twin beds and a view across the bay. The room wasn’t new, which didn’t surprise me given how remote the hotel is. I think it’s open only in summer. There wasn’t Wi-Fi in the room, though I could use it in the bar. The beach is about a 15-minute walk away, and Latrabjarg Cliffs are a short drive.

We parked our camper van here and loved the whole experience. The views are great, the staff are really friendly, and the hotel looks fantastic. The restaurant was great too. I had the delicious lamb, and I’m sure the fish is just as good.

The view from the en-suite rooms is gorgeous, looking out toward the cliffs and beach. My room was good, though the furnishings aren’t especially new, which makes sense in such a remote spot. Breakfast was decent and the staff were great. It’s about 20 minutes to Látrabjarg. There’s no Wi-Fi in the en-suite rooms, only in the bar and restaurant, where there’s plenty of seating. I was able to sit and work for a couple of hours before heading out.
