Guesthouse Narfastaðir

The room was so clean, and the host was welcoming. There's a hot tub, and the place is close enough to Akureyri and nearby attractions. You can't go wrong here. Highly recommend.

This was the best guesthouse we stayed at in 10 days. The rooms and welcome were both great, and the place was quiet and peaceful. We ended up with three rooms, each with a large room and a kitchen in excellent condition, fully functional and comfortable. At first there was a strange issue with the number of beds listed for a room when we booked through booking, so we booked two rooms when we only needed one. The owner made an effort to switch rooms for a lower price so we'd be satisfied. That was great customer care, and we thank them for understanding. Breakfast was a treat too, and we'd recommend having dinner at the buffet at least once. There's also a walk up the mountain behind the guesthouse: go through the field, follow the path to the fence, then turn right for a nice view. We'll remember this place, and thank our hosts.

We had a huge room right next to the hot tub, and it couldn't have been better. The food was not bad, with nothing to complain about, and breakfast had lots of choices. The staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back. 🛩🇦🇹💜💜

The rooms are clean and well maintained, though not modern and generally on the small side, as at other hotels we've stayed in. There are several common areas where you can have a drink or play a board game. The staff are very friendly, and there's a nice range of breakfast and dinner options. It's also a great base near many sites.
