Bjork Guesthouse

The owners were really friendly, and the location was great. Our room was very clean, especially the bathroom, and the blackout curtains were a welcome touch. Just be aware that Visa is the only card they accept.

There’s a supermarket about two minutes away, plus a restaurant and a nice lake, though this is a small, populated area. We saw the Northern Lights that night near Pingvellir Park, but had to drive away from the streetlights to see them. For Iceland prices, I thought it was good value. The room was clean, the bathroom spacious, and check-in was easy. It did get chilly outside the bed covers, and we couldn’t find how to adjust the temperature, but it didn’t keep us from sleeping.

We booked two rooms at Bjork Guesthouse to get an early start on the Golden Circle, and both were spacious, comfortable, and tidy. The whole place was spotless and cozy. There was coffee and tea, a fridge in the room, and even sweets for guests. The host communicated really well, which made everything easy. We were pleasantly surprised and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The room was new, very clean, and had great facilities, and the owners were kind and quick to respond whenever we contacted them. Unfortunately, the walls were so thin that we could easily hear the neighbours. The fridge was noisy enough to wake me up, too.
