We were only there for one night, but had a really nice time. The room was spacious, breakfast tasted great, and the spa was wonderful. There was also happy hour at the bar. Most of all, the team were lovely and helpful, and the service was excellent. Our dog was happy there too. The menu could use more options, though, and the prices felt a bit high.

We were lucky enough to see the northern lights on two nights, and the location was great for exploring. The hotel felt warm and welcoming, with excellent food, nicely presented and a good wine selection. The beds were comfy. I'd personally have preferred cotton sheets over towelling ones, but that's just my preference. The little spa with its two outdoor hot tubs was great.

The dinner steak was honestly one of the best I've ever had, and breakfast had lots of tasty choices. The reception team were so friendly and welcoming from the start. Our room was spacious and comfortable too. I'd gladly come back and would recommend the hotel.

After 10 days of hiking, the continental breakfast was very welcome. I loved the hotel's spa too. It's in Reykholt, down from Baranfoss and Hranafoss, and was a great place to stay.
