The hosts were kind, welcoming, and knew the area well. They made homemade breakfast each day in a really homey dining room. The bedroom was small but cozy. At one point we shared a bathroom with six people, but we never had to wait or ran into problems. The guesthouse is centrally located, close to Hallgrimskirkja church and Bus Stop 8 for tour bus travelers. They also rent bikes. I’d highly recommend it.

Everything we wanted to see in the city was within a reasonable walk from this lovely guesthouse, yet it was far enough from the main streets to stay quiet at night. We ended up there by accident because of an issue with our original booking, and were glad we did. Hlin and Siggi were warm hosts who kept the accommodations immaculate. They gave us useful advice about local travel and transportation and were so kind and helpful during our stay. I’d very much like to stay with them again when I return to Iceland. Highly recommended!!!!

Hlín and Sigurgeir opened their home to my family during the week of my wife’s and my wedding, and we loved staying there. The apartments are in the heart of the city, very close to the bus stop drop offs. The location is excellent, and the beds and rooms are quiet and comfortable. Hlín and Sigurgeir went out of their way to make sure everyone had what they needed. We won’t stay anywhere else on future visits!

The old houses have a lot of charm, and I think Hlin said they date back to 1905. It’s peaceful here despite being only a block from the main shopping street. Hlin was welcoming, offered local tips, and gave us plenty of space. The water gets properly hot thanks to the geothermal heating :) I’d definitely recommend staying here.

A really good breakfast, tasty and filling, and the hosts were friendly and knew the area well. It’s a lovely little guest house, tucked just off the main strip in a perfect spot.
