Midgardur by Center Hotels

The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and my room was just right, warm and cozy. It's in a great location. There's a spa, though I didn't use it. The restaurant food was excellent, and I'd recommend giving it a visit.

During a Lesbifriends Travel group trip to Iceland, we used Midgardur by Center Hotels as our base in Reykjavik. It was easy for a group to manage and felt calm, while still being close enough to walk to shops, restaurants, and tour pickup points. The rooms were modern, clean, and well kept, with comfortable beds after long days exploring. The hotel handled the group stay smoothly, which helped when people had different schedules. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere felt welcoming without being too formal. It balanced practical needs with comfort and worked well for our group. For anyone wanting a dependable, well located hotel in Reykjavik, this could suit solo travelers as well as groups.

The main tourist street in Rekyavik starts right in front of the hotel, so the location is very convenient. The hotel feels cozy, with good-sized, refreshed rooms. Breakfast was great, and the restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. The spa was lovely, with two warm tubs and a sauna, plus a small gym.

The bus stop right by the hotel made it easy to head out on excursions, and the walk into the city center was pleasant, with cafés, restaurants, and shops along pedestrian-friendly streets. It’s close enough to reach on foot but far enough away to stay quiet. The building feels modern and thoughtfully designed, and it was spotless. Staff were consistently warm, efficient, and quick to help. We felt comfortable from the moment we arrived, and the stay was better than we expected.
