There’s no parking provided, so you’ll need to find a spot on the street and pay during certain days and times. Inside, the place is simple but clean and well maintained. We had a decent-sized bathroom shared with just one other room, plus a private room with three beds, a table, chairs, and a nice window overlooking the street. It’s near plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops in Reykjavik. I stayed in March 2018.

We only stayed one night, and the small shared kitchen in our room area was enough for that. It was clean, and the host was really attentive when we arrived tired and jetlagged after driving from the airport. The location made it easy to walk around downtown, and we found enough parking options. Great value for the stay!

The central location was the only real plus, and even then I’d say this is suitable for just one night. Nobody was there to welcome us. Our double room hadn’t been cleaned under the bed, where food from previous guests was still lying around. The tiny bathroom was shared with another room and wasn’t clean either. It had no window, and the ventilation and shower curtain were dirty.

We were in The Tower, and the view across the city was amazing, nearly 180 degrees. It’s so well placed that you can walk just about anywhere and easily pop back between plans. The place was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I’d happily stay again and again.
