Graystone Guesthouse

The blizzard kept us in Iceland for two extra days after our flights were cancelled, and Eric was great about extending our stay when we couldn't get a flight the next day. We booked at the last minute, and he promptly sent instructions for getting into our room. Since the weather kept us from reaching a grocery store, he said we could take cereal from the kitchen's bottom drawer. The place was cozy, cute, and very clean, and the coffee was really good. He even offered to upgrade us the next night because my husband and I had two twin beds. Highly recommend. Keep up the good work.

The location is the main reason I can't give this a higher rating. It's isolated, with no real landmarks or people nearby to help, and there's no reliable public transport to or from the airport. For sightseeing you need a rental car, which is expensive, while cab fares are ridiculous. Uber and Lyft are outlawed here. Being close to the airport doesn't necessarily save time or money, so I wouldn't recommend it. The host was helpful and responsive even at odd hours, and the place was very clean, with a modernist look and a comfortable room with amenities. Free parking, WiFi, and beverages were included.

A futuristic self-service hotel, very clean, with facilities that are practical and thoughtfully designed. The pantry coffee machine was a nice touch. We made ourselves cappuccinos and lattes :)

Great price, a secure entrance, and close to KEF airport. The room was clean, and the washrooms and kitchen area were excellent. I'd definitely stay again.
