The room and bathroom were nice and clean, and there was a kitchenette. It was a comfortable stay with nice amenities overall. The room got a bit stuffy, especially after showers, since only one window opened. A fan would help with ventilation, though that seems true of a lot of places in Reykjavik. The shower curtain had some mold at the bottom. There didn’t seem to be a reception, so we had no one to ask when questions came up. I also got no reply to my email about late check-out. That cost it a star.

Parking was tricky. Our car wouldn’t fit on the drive, and after half six there were very few spaces nearby. The shower smelled of sulfur, but that wasn’t the owners’ fault. Still, it was a nice little flat with everything we needed for a night in Reykjavik.

The host knew the area well and suggested local treasures that really added to my trip. The place was clean and tidy, and the location was wonderful. I’ll stay there again!

Warm and welcoming, with a very helpful host. We had a good studio apartment, and there are larger ones too. It’s very close to the city center.

The location was great and the stay was decent. Reykjavik is really expensive, though, and so is the house of spirits.
