If you want to explore Reykjavík on foot, Baldur Apartments puts you close to Hallgrímskirkja Church, the Solfar Sun Voyager sculpture, Harpa Concert Hall, and Laugavegur shopping street. The apartments are modern and equipped for a self-contained stay, right in the lively 101 district on Baldursgata. It’s a central apartment-style place in Reykjavík, Iceland.

These apartments look great, feel elegant, and have plenty of equipment. You’re just minutes from the main sights, right at the edge of the city center. Street noise was the downside for us, even on the first floor. The sound insulation didn’t seem adequate, and taking a midday nap was hard, especially since Reykjavik isn’t usually a particularly noisy city.

The apartment gave us a comfortable place to unwind at the end of the day, and its modern design was really well done. We could walk to all the attractions and places to eat, yet the street itself was quiet. Everything was only a short walk away. It turned out to be a lovely surprise.

The WiFi didn’t work once during our two nights, which left the smart TV unusable. We could manage with our phone data, so it wasn’t a huge issue for us. The apartment was clean and comfortable, with enough space for four, and the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The modern place is well located near the church, shops, and restaurants in Reykjavik.

The owners were so kind and helpful, and we had a really nice stay. If we make it back to Iceland, we’ll definitely pick Baldur Apartments again.
