I was there for work and hadn’t realized it was such an upscale resort. The thermal facilities seem to be what most guests come for. Most of the staff spoke English, which helped. The older guests seemed to be enjoying their holiday, and everyone dressed up for dinner. Since I was working, we ate at a local restaurant instead. The neighborhood felt nice, safe, and easy to walk around, with restaurants and gelato a 5 to 10 minute walk away. I highly recommend Italia Steak House for its excellent steak. The hotel was very hot, though. The air had been turned off for the season, but it was still needed at the end of September. Otherwise, a nice stay.

Dinner was very good, and the location was just right: quiet, with few cars passing through. The room was nice and very clean, which mattered most to me.

I’ve stayed at the Buja for years and usually choose the renovated, more modern rooms over the older carpeted ones. The rooms are still excellent and the location is very central. Service has become less consistent, though, and the hotel is starting to show its age.

The staff were the highlight, from reception to housekeeping, and the massage Sandra gave me was phenomenal, one of the best I’ve had. The outdoor wellness area was well cared for, with an attendant actively around the pool. Our suites and room were maintained well, and we appreciated the electric car charging station. The hotel has 139 bedrooms and is well located. We had two connecting suites and a junior suite for our family of six. Booking was uncomplicated, and the spa appointments and changes were handled efficiently. Lunch and dinner were wholesome and tasty, with attentive, professional waiting staff. The weak breakfast, bathroom toiletries, and limited antipasti buffet, especially at lunch, made it feel short of five-star quality. Wi-Fi was poor to unusable. I’d recommend it to someone trying a five-star hotel in Abano for the first time.

Alessandra welcomed us and shared useful information that helped throughout our vacation. The place was clean, and the staff were professional and kind. My family and I had an excellent stay, and I especially loved the hot stone massage by Marianna. I’d absolutely recommend it.
