Hotel Savoia Thermae & Spa

I was looking forward to going after a colleague said it was fine, but I caught a cold the day before. They told me there was no way to reschedule or get a refund because it was basically the day of the booking. I understand the policy, but it still upset me. I didn’t enjoy the experience and won’t go there again.

The garden is pleasant and the parking lot is huge. Pools are warm and clean, open from 8.00 am to 11.00 pm. In September, thankfully there were no children, so it was quite relaxing. Drinks and snacks at the bar are reasonably priced. The Half Board restaurant has limited choices, aside from the salad buffet.

It’s always a pleasure to stay here. Elissa, who serves us in the dining area, is sweet and very attentive. The hotel is impeccably clean, and the personnel are professional and focused on service.

We were sorry to have to leave today, and we’ll certainly come back for longer. We’d first booked Torre Terme across the road, but it was closed for renovations when we arrived, with no notice, and we were left stranded. Then we found Hotel Savoia, which turned out even better than we’d hoped. Chiara handled check-in professionally and kindly, showed us two rooms, and let us choose. One wing has traditional rooms and the other more modern ones. We chose a modern room for €20 more and had no regrets: it was spotless, with good bedding, perfect pillows, a beautiful bathroom, and quality furnishings. The air-conditioning was very quiet, and the WiFi was fast enough to work. The whole place is exceptionally well maintained, which says a lot about the management and employees. The simple pools were just right for relaxing, clean, and had soft-feeling water without too much chlorine. I think the gentleman who looks after the pool chairs and garden is Parim, and he deserves an award. Breakfast was great, even with the option to make your own mimosa, and the breakfast staff were courteous and on top of things. Thanks to everyone working behind the scenes too. Chiara was especially kind, Erika at reception called a restaurant and booked us a table, Samuelle remembered our name, and Matteo extended our stay.
