Hotel Terme all'Alba

The pool is what I can recommend here. My family and I come for pool days, and it’s very large, with a pleasant, slightly heated indoor section and a bar. I can’t comment on the rest of the hotel. The area is nice for a walk after spending the day swimming.

We took a day trip to Venice, which was easy: there’s a huge free parking lot beside the Montegrotto train station, and the comfortable ride to Venice/St. Lucia takes 40 minutes and costs very little. In town, we liked walking among the shops and kiosks, and Lady Bar just outside the hotel became our favorite place for aperitivi. There was entertainment in the square, including a suspended piano player while we were there. We stayed five nights in April 2022. The hotel was clean and adequate, and our spacious room had a wraparound balcony with mountain views. The pools were lovely, though some jets weren’t working, and we were disappointed that the sauna was out of order. The pool bar was handy for water, coffee, or lunch. Breakfast was a huge buffet; ordering coffee from the barista was better than using the machine. We ate lunch and dinner out because the cute town was right there. We tried several spa services, and the Ayurvedic massage felt closest to a traditional massage. The staff were respectful and excellent, and prices were reasonable.

The pools were nice, and it was especially useful that we could leave our things in a locker after check-out and spend a few more hours swimming. A nice hotel.

The Italian chef’s meals were great, and the spa was excellent. Padova center is only 25 minutes away by bus. A wonderful place.
