Terme Eden

We booked a weekend here with the family, but found part of the building apparently abandoned when we arrived. The hallways were up to 40°C, and the air conditioning wasn't working in all the rooms. Some of my family left right away; the rest of us stayed, then left too after a terrible dinner and a breakfast of hard, dry croissants. We also saw other people who had booked leave immediately. Why are the owners offering this? If things carry on like this, they'll close soon.

There was no Wi-Fi, despite what had been stated, and the room got extremely hot compared with outside. The service was inadequate, and the hygiene was unspeakable. The bed was two mattresses of different widths pushed together, so you slipped when sitting on it. The sheets weren't pulled tight, there were no mattress covers, and one morning I found myself lying directly on the mattress. The shower curtain was broken and no water came out, though it was fixed later. Breakfast was meant to run until 10:00, but by 9:35 everything was already gone. The only saving grace was the excellent chef's cheerful "ciao" and the thermal pools, though they were poorly maintained. This hotel doesn't meet the standard of a 3-star place.

We left after just one night, and my only vacation days of the year were ruined. The corridors were 30°C and our room was 33°C, completely unbearable. The facility was in a state of total disrepair, and reception was awful, with no information given at all. There wasn't even a lifeguard at the pool. The food was worse than animal food. Dinner was stringy chops, undercooked peas, and chips that looked at least two days old and had clearly been reheated in the microwave. At breakfast, both the bread and the puff pastry rolls were stale, hard, and tasted old. Embarrassing place, to say the least. It should be closed immediately.

We have plenty of sunbeds, chairs, and umbrellas around the two connected pools, which had warm water and several whirlpools. The sauna and clean, pleasant sweat cave were nice too. Parking is available, though there's not much of it, and the city center is just a 5-6 minute walk away. The staff were welcoming when my partner and I arrived and explained the services and meal times. Our room was large and clean, with air conditioning, a fridge, a safe, and a phone. The dining room offered a good selection, including a fresh, varied raw vegetable buffet, and the wait staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast was good. The decor is a little dated, but the spaces are roomy and clean. We'll definitely come back and recommend it.
