Trattoria e Pizzeria i Bodega

The porcini sauce was the dish I kept thinking about, its earthy flavor clinging to the fresh pasta. The ragù was hearty and slow-cooked, and the pesto was fragrant and lively. Before that, we tried classic antipasti: prosciutto with sweet ripe melon, local salumi, and Lavarello in the bright green herb sauce the owner called a house delicacy. The fish from Lake Como was gently cooked, with an aromatic dressing that brought out its lake origins. I was already full but still ordered rabbit with polenta. The rabbit was tender, the polenta creamy, and together they made a fine example of rustic northern cooking. This family-run trattoria serves a sincere, seasonal take on Italian food, rooted in tradition and handled with care.

We enjoyed eating at Bodega’s place so much that we returned during our short stay by Lake Como. Carlo made sure we had a great time, and our lovely waitress Carlota deserves a shout-out too. This inconspicuous little restaurant, away from the bustle of the nearby towns, surprised us with delicious local food and welcoming staff. A really authentic experience. Thanks to you both, we’ll remember you!

The place has a lovely garden and a beautiful setting near the mountains, but it’s still easy to get to. The owner serves you himself, and the service is fantastic. We enjoyed authentic local Italian food, especially the pizza and pasta, and the price for the quality was excellent. I’d definitely go back.

Really good place, everything was perfect! I hope I get to eat here again tomorrow.
