Hotel Parco Erosa

For the price, the hotel was OK if you just need somewhere to sleep and your expectations are low. I wouldn’t choose to stay for long. There was quite a bit of mold in the bedroom, though it wasn’t too hot, so we could leave the windows open. The staff didn’t speak English very well but did try. I also found it a little strange that they asked us to leave the room key at the property while we were nearby, so I didn’t do that.

We’d love to come back and will happily recommend this place to friends. We found it by chance after our original accommodation was unexpectedly cancelled during a road trip through Lazio, Tuscany and Saturnia. With no plans, we found the hotel online and decided to arrive without a booking. The owners welcomed us warmly, showed us around, and we fell for the room and atmosphere straight away. There’s a lot of character here. Time has left its marks on the building, but that adds to its charm. You can sense its history and the family’s dedication to keeping the place going and making guests feel special. The owners are friendly and ready to help, which made the stay feel personal, and the rooms have an authenticity that newer places often try to imitate. It was early in the season, and the garden wasn’t in full bloom yet, but we already thought it was beautiful and full of promise. We can imagine how magical it must be later in the year. Even while we were there, we felt deep appreciation and respect for the people behind this place. We hope other travelers, especially anyone who feels lost or is looking for something genuine, get to find it too. We wish the owners all the best and hope to return. Absolutely amazing!

I stayed here from May 20th to 22nd and found it a lovely place to unwind in nature. There’s a large outdoor area and a pool in the summer. My room was especially spacious, with a big balcony looking out over the mountains. The hotel is spotless and the food is good. Highly recommended!

We couldn’t use the garden or pool because the weather wasn’t great, which was a shame. Still, our yoga holiday with my students in August went really well, especially because the staff were so helpful. Lodovico and his mother deserve a special mention for always being super kind. The food is delicious, and there’s a vegetable buffet each evening alongside the main dishes, so there was plenty of choice for me as a vegetarian. It’s also a great location for visiting Monte Amiata and its wonderful forests, as well as the Val d'Orcia.
