6/10
The veal with porcini was cooked properly, but it was tough as boots, and the porcini weren’t very tasty. They were from somewhere other than Amiata, as far as I could tell. That isn’t the restaurant’s fault, but I think they should mention it at the start of the meal. On the better side, the staff were quick and attentive, portions were generous, and the restaurant was spacious and clean. The chicken liver crostini were excellent, roast potatoes were good, and the pappardelle with wild boar ragù was okay, though I thought the sauce had too much tomato.

We stopped for lunch on the way, and everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The staff were really friendly, and there were vegetarian friendly choices on the menu.
