Hotel Valdiola

We had four rooms for six of us, and every one had a balcony with breathtaking views. The rooms also had fridges, and there was covered parking. The hotel and its staff were wonderful, as was the sheltered, beautifully maintained pool area. The gardens are lush and green, with fragrant flowering shrubs everywhere.

The people here were unbelievably kind and helpful. On the night of June 10th, the gentleman working the night shift went out of his way to make sure my friend and I had a great night. The woman on duty the next day helped us find a good beach nearby and even called a taxi for us. I really can’t say enough about how much I appreciated everyone’s help. Grazie mille to the hotel team! ♡♡ Our room was comfortable, with cute decor, a little patio, and an amazing view. We paid about 150€ the day before our stay, which felt like a great deal compared with other places nearby. Breakfast is served daily, with an incredible spread, and you can eat on the hotel’s large balcony overlooking the area. A car is highly recommended for Sardegna. I’ve managed without one in places like Okinawa, where people say the same thing, but Sardegna is different. Many roads have no sidewalks, and cars come quickly around the bends. Taxis are expensive, though the lovely front desk staff will call one if you need it. This place is an underrated gem, and we had a perfect stay! ♡

The view over one of the loveliest parts of costa smeralda is like a postcard, and the hotel has an old, cosy charm. The staff were polite and did their best to keep everything clean. The price seemed fair for the view and the very good beaches nearby. That said, the hotel is very old and badly in need of renovation. The wooden windows are old, the bathroom is damaged though clean, and the air conditioning is extremely old and noisy. You can get the room almost comfortable if you accept the noise, or keep it hot and quiet. As elsewhere in sardinia, you need a car.
