The idea of staying as a tourist in an Italian social housing unit is quite interesting, which makes the state of this place a shame. The apartment wasn't ready for guests: the blinds, balcony chairs, and table were out of order, and the mosquito net was best left alone. The kitchen and appliances were dirty, the quilt and other blankets needed cleaning, one bathroom light was broken, and overall it felt rather unclean. Other rooms in the apartment were being sublet separately, and that area wasn't secured with a lock. This isn't a hotel, just parts of an apartment being sublet, and there's no reception. The landlord was reachable by international phone call and arrived quickly. He was very friendly and service-oriented.
