The apartment was our best place so far on a road trip that began at Lake Garda and took us through Bergamo, Milan, Pisa, and Piombino before Rome. The price is unbeatable. The bed is very comfortable, and there’s a microwave, cutlery, and a small coffee machine. The air conditioning cools the room really well, even when it’s 35-36 degrees in the shade, so we slept great. There’s a manual roller shutter at the window that makes the place completely dark. A heater is available for winter, though we didn’t need it. There’s also a table with two chairs, and the small bathroom is perfectly adequate for two. The apartment is quiet at night. There’s a supermarket nearby and good bus service into town. The metro is about a 20-minute walk away, but Rome’s buses are so good that we didn’t need it. There’s a free city parking lot next door, right by the court in Rome. The military guards it around the clock with weapons, and there were always at least two soldiers there, sometimes with two extra guards during the day. It feels extremely well protected. I can’t imagine even expensive garages being a bigger deterrent to car break-ins. Since I depend on good parking when I travel, that’s a major plus for me.

Alessandro is a really kind and helpful host. The room was pleasant and reasonably clean, with the basic B&B amenities. The area is quiet and easy to live in. Piazzale Clodio gives you excellent public transport connections, and the location works well for the metro, 15 minutes from Ottaviano, as well as Stadio Olimpico, about a half-hour walk to the entrances.

The area is very peaceful and feels safe, with a 24-hour army post near the entrance because the courthouse entrance is next door. Getting into the city center is easy and convenient, since the bus stop is right beside the building. The location is excellent. The room was clean and newly furnished, with a coffee maker and a kettle for herbal tea.

The neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe. Military personnel guard the entrance around the clock, watching the courthouse’s secondary entrance a few meters away. The Atac bus terminal is 3 minutes away, and it’s 5 minutes along the same street to Metro line A. Vatican City is 10 minutes away. From here you can get to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Cinecitta', Termini Station, and the other main tourist areas. There are lots of ice cream shops, restaurants, pizzerias, and supermarkets around. Highly recommended.
