The staff were so friendly and had plenty of useful suggestions for what to see, do and taste nearby. B&B Ortensia is close to the sea, and the balcony has a beautiful view of Etna. My room was comfortable, with a very good bed, and breakfast was excellent each morning. It’s a delightful, welcoming place to stay in Aci Castello, and I’d happily recommend it.

The photos of Villa Ortensia match what you actually get: a beautiful, well-kept property, just as described. Everything was immaculate, and our rooms were cleaned daily. Check-in and check-out were both smooth and hassle-free. We had an excellent stay from the moment we arrived, and I’d gladly recommend the villa to others. I’ll definitely return.

There are good restaurants nearby in Aci Castello, and the B&B is clean, with pleasant views of the garden and ocean from the rooms. It’s far enough from the chaos but still a good base for driving to Catania, Taormina, Siracusa, Noto and Módica. Breakfast was wonderful, with fresh fruit, bread, cakes and scrambled eggs, and the service was great. One thing to keep in mind: mosquitoes are common in this region, so keep the windows’ anti-mosquito screens in place. The windows all have them, and the mosquitoes aren’t something the B&B can control.

A friendly family-owned place with free parking inside a gated community. It’s close to plenty of beach clubs and tourist spots.

The rooms are a nice size, and aside from the noise, the place is good. The soundproofing isn’t great, so doors slamming and guests using the shared kitchen can wake you at any hour of the night.
