The apartment was clean, nicely furnished, and practical, with enough room for a family with several children. Breakfast included croissants, coffee, toast, jam, milk, and a Nutella tart. Too bad there wasn't any butter. The location is excellent, just a few steps from the Norman castle. All in all, it was quite good.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. The staff were genuinely caring and gave us useful tips on places to eat, including the excellent pizza at L'Aragosta, as well as routes away from the usual tourist spots. The location was a big part of the appeal. We could wake up to the smell of salt water, and it worked well as a base for exploring the city while still enjoying the quiet coast. The rooms were bright, spacious, spotless, and decorated in a modern style with sea colors. The beds were really comfortable after long walks around the baroque center and the seafront. Breakfast was one of my favorite parts of the day. There was a broad choice of fresh local food, plus a working coffee machine, different muffins, biscuits, and rusks. Having coffee and looking out at the horizon was a lovely way to start the morning. Blue Sea is a great choice in Catania if you're after comfort, a beautiful view, and attentive service.
