The apartment was clean and comfortable, and we had a lovely view from the terrace. Our hosts gave us helpful suggestions for places to see, visit, and eat during our two days in Sicily. We hope to return for a longer stay soon, and would definitely recommend it.

We were three adults and a small child, and couldn't even make a bottle for the baby or cook a meal or a cup of coffee. The hot plate didn't work, so we had to heat food in the microwave. The kitchen was just a sink with no cupboards, and the sofa, which she said was a king bed for two, was small and right beside the sink. The apartment she gave us wasn't the one shown in the pictures. Worst apartment I've ever stayed in. Never again.

The open-plan space had all the comforts, and its location works well for exploring Sicily's many attractions. I have a lot to say about the owner's friendliness and willingness to help, though, since it felt almost as if he thought he was doing us a favor. Breakfast was offered at a partner café, but it wasn't close enough to walk to, and nobody told us its name. Construction next door made it hard to rest during the day or sleep later in the morning. Even getting out of the residence was awkward because there was no key for the small gate.
