That walk down to Santa Maria La Scala was worth it, especially for the views and a really good meal. We also took the train to places like Taormina, which worked out great, and the nearby market was easy to reach on foot. Mario was a lovely host, and everyone made us feel welcome. The villa had plenty of space for five and was well equipped. We especially loved the top patio, with its lovely view and all the plants and flowers. Mario had left us fruit, water, drinks, coffee, and more. Acireale was a joy, and this was just right for us. We even miss hearing the bells chime all day. Thank you, Mario!
