We stayed for four nights in mid-September 2024, and I'd happily return if I'm in Acireale again. The owners knew the area well and gave us great suggestions for outings and things to do. The spacious first-floor apartment had a typical local style, with recent renovations and furniture that suited the space. The modern kitchen and bathrooms were clean and fully equipped, and everything worked perfectly. It was pleasant and had air conditioning, which we didn't use. The center is only a few minutes away on foot, yet it was quiet, with essentials like a supermarket and bakery nearby. The apartment suited two families and a small dog. The owner was very kind and helpful. The only nuisance was a few mosquitoes.

The balcony was a lovely place to have breakfast in the morning. With the greenery and birdsong, it felt like being on a remote island. My wife and I were enchanted by the family effects and museum-quality objects, all carefully preserved and to be treated with respect. Have a look at the grandfather's bookcase and the handwritten letters between the owner's grandparents, dating back at least 70 years, maybe more. The house was precise, clean and cared for down to the smallest detail. It had air conditioning, Wi-Fi, two TVs, sheets, a very clean washing machine with detergent, a hair dryer and everything else we needed. We stayed from July 28, 2022 to August 2, 2022. Angelo Iacovazzi was always available, polite, very kind and more. If you want suggestions about where and when to visit nearby places, he's the right person. The location has good services nearby and is about a 10-minute walk from the center. For visiting Etna and other places, it's no more than a 20-minute walk, though of course that depends on the person. I could write much more, but don't hesitate to stay here. I highly recommend it. I didn't know Angelo before. I sincerely appreciate everything I've written here. I haven't included photos because they're on my wife's phone, and she isn't with me right now. Bye, Angelo Iacovazzi. The house has been renovated beautifully, while still keeping a real Sicilian feel. There’s a lovely private garden and pool, and the rooms are roomy and well equipped. Angelo can also show you family heirlooms and share the story of his family, if you’re interested. It’s a handy base for trips to Mount Etna and visits to the "Aci" and Catania.

Angelo was kind and always ready to help. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with the city center under a 10-minute walk away. Mount Etna and the sea are only a few kilometers from there. I’d happily recommend it.
