The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and well looked after. We loved the pool for the children, along with the seating spots overlooking the valley. The house is beautiful, cozy, and equipped with every convenience. It's a quiet setting with a breathtaking view. Five stars, and definitely worth planning a visit.

Benjamino greeted us warmly and explained everything in detail. The house has thoughtful, practical furnishings, and the kitchens are generally well equipped. A bigger chopping board and one or two sharper knives would have been useful. The owners' online instructions were helpful and available even without Alexa. The pool and large garden were spotless and very well maintained. In the evenings, we watched countless fireflies, and with the lights around the house switchable and little light pollution nearby, we could see a huge number of stars. Bring binoculars or a telescope. Three young cats were around the house almost all the time, begging for food. One was especially persistent, jumping onto the table and grill and even coming inside. There are plenty of shops about a 10-minute drive away. We had a very nice week and would book Villa Colombaia again if we're in the area.

From the garden and pool, the views from this high mountain location are fantastic. The old, basic house was fine for us since we only slept indoors, and it has a barbecue and pizza oven. But even when temperatures topped 30 degrees Celsius, the house stayed warm, and we really missed having air conditioning.
