There are lovely places to visit within a 15-40 minute trip, and the apartment itself has everything you need to cook and enjoy your stay. It’s roomy, carefully looked after, and the pool feels private and welcoming, with space for kids to play safely. Cristian greeted us warmly and was friendly without hovering. A little paradise for grown-ups and children.

The garden is beautifully kept and feels completely safe for children, and the clean pool works well for all kinds of needs. Christian, the owner, was warm and helpful without getting in our way. The apartments have lots of thoughtful details, too. There’s plenty to see nearby, including Bolsena, Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio, and Torre Alfina. We also recommend checking out the local festivals in the different towns. Wonderful place!

The garden was really lovely, and the farmhouse itself is beautiful. The villages near Acquapendente are lovely to explore as well. I’m taking off a star because there were some horseflies and flies swarming around me on the way to the pool, and I kept finding spiders and big bugs in the cupboards when I came back to our room. Still, I’d recommend it for a holiday.

The pool was clean and lovely, with a hot shower, and it was just the thing after a day out exploring. We stayed four days in the Gelso apartment, which was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Christian lives at the farmhouse and looks after it with great care, down to the little details. He’s incredibly kind and helpful, and so are his parents. There’s a vegetable garden, and guests can enjoy its delicious produce. The basket of figs and strawberries was a lovely surprise. The farmhouse is also well placed for trips to the many beautiful villages across Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. Don’t miss the sunrise or the starry sky at night.
