Everything was good.

We enjoyed tagliatelle with venison stew and lean ravioli, followed by a delicious mixed boiled meat dish with a tasty green sauce. The couple at the next table had pizzas that looked inviting, and our fellow diners said they were delicious. This restaurant-pizzeria is a few steps from the Duomo and historic center. Hotel La Meridiana recommended it, and I'd recommend that hotel to anyone looking for a quiet, simple meal. The classic trattoria atmosphere, warm and welcoming like the owner, put us at ease. Service was quick, the value was excellent, and the staff were attentive, helpful, and friendly, happy to chat without intruding. Highly recommended.

I went with friends for pizza. The staff were very friendly, but the place feels old, like a 1960s diner. We waited an hour and a half for our pizzas. The dough was good, but the tomato sauce wasn't up to standard, the mozzarella was distinctly sour, and the sausage seemed odd. Some pieces were very pale and didn't taste like sausage, more like chicken dough. €110 for eight people, five of whom had water or Coke, seems far too much. We ordered eight regular pizzas, a medium beer, a bottle of craft beer, two cans of Coke, one Coke on tap, a bottle of water, and two coffees.

The only good part was the waiter. I paid €18.50 for the classic lunch menu, which includes a first course, second course, side, water, and dessert. Anywhere else I wouldn't have paid more than €10-12. The pasta was nothing special. The main course was supermarket-style mozzarella from a plastic bag, four half-slices of aged prosciutto, and two tablespoons of mashed potatoes. Dessert was profiteroles, just two small balls, not even three. The owner is elderly and grumpy, and didn't even look me in the eye when I went to pay.
