The hosts, Ariella, her husband, and their daughter, were absolutely lovely. We had a great time making fresh pasta together, and it turned out delicious. The location was stunning, with an incredible view, and we enjoyed wine from their impressive, extensive selection. A truly positive experience and a delight for the palate.

We went wine tasting on Saturday and enjoyed a beautiful selection of wines with delicious antipasti. Ariella made us feel very welcome, and the accommodation felt like home right away. We stayed at Verdmont for two nights to unwind and clear our heads. With the delicious dinners and breakfast, we felt completely taken care of. Come here for wine, food, sunshine, and rest. Verdmont BnB was my magical rescue when my trip fell apart. It felt like a salve for my weary soul. My previous booking elsewhere fell through at the last minute. I was stranded, my taxi vanished, and I missed my train, left standing in Acqui Terme like Julia Roberts in ‘Eat Pray Love’, but in the dramatic, suspenseful, semi-apocalyptic version that never got released. A stressed-out white American woman falling apart mid-solo trip, Lord help us all 🙄. Before Verdmont, there was no eating or loving, just a lot of praying and swearing. The Verdmont family welcomed me warmly at the last minute. Then, when things got even worse, they turned their car around during a family vacation to take me to the train station. Who does that? Apparently, actual angels in the guise of Verdmont BnB hosts. Staying there was like being taken in by long-lost family I actually liked. They fed me, cheered me on, made sure I had clean sheets and warm towels, and shared a good laugh over funny Instagram videos. The land at Verdmont is cared for with so much love, with recycling, composting, and thoughtful little touches everywhere. There's a sweet little pool for cooling off after you convince yourself you can bike through vineyards on an e-bike. Spoiler: you'll stop too often for wine, and it'll be worth it. The hills look like a postcard, except they're real, and so magical they make you forget the rest of the world is a dumpster fire. If you need to get away from the chaos and reconnect with your soul, this is the place. Verdmont reminds you that people are kind and good, the world is beautiful, and yes… everything's going to be, as the Italians say, “OKAYYYYY.”

Making pizza with Ariella and her family was a lovely way to end our holiday in Piemonte. We each put together a pizza with our own toppings, then got to slide it into the traditional oven ourselves. Their preparation meant we could get going right away, and they showed us what to do in a fun, easygoing way. The place is peaceful, tucked into nature, and after cooking we shared dinner beneath a lovely covered terrace with Ariella and her family. A really special memory, and something we’d absolutely do again.
