We spent four nights in the Superior Suite at Colletto AgriBioRelais. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, the pool is lovely for hot days, and everything indoors and outside is well maintained. There are three buildings where the rooms are, which makes the hotel very quiet. The drive up is adventurous the first time, but it’s worth it. There are plenty of parking spaces, though if you have to park at the beginning, you’ll need to walk a little. The rooms are lovely, and each has a minibar stocked with their own wines. They make sparkling and red wines, so try them all while you’re there. We ate at the restaurant twice and loved it, especially dinner outside with a view. Service was very nice and always helpful. Breakfast was good, with a decent choice of bread, cakes, juices, jams and fruit, but it didn’t vary much over our four days. I’d definitely book again. A couple of things could be better: the bathroom towels are a bit small, and we only got shower gel and shampoo twice during the four nights. The hotel is a little out of the way, but the special location and wonderful view make it worthwhile.

The room had a sewer smell, so we were moved to another one, but no one apologized for the inconvenience. Breakfast was also disappointing and slow, even though we’d said the day before what we wanted and when. For a place called agribiorelais, I expected fresh local food, but there was white toast, industrial jam, croissants and juice, plus sugary granola. The coffee was really good, though, and they let us add a soft boiled egg when we asked. The setting is beautiful, the rooms are clean and modern, and the sunsets are lovely. But the price suggests four star service, and we didn’t find it. There wasn’t much genuine warmth, and that can make a great location feel average. If breakfast isn’t a big deal for you and you mainly want the view and pool, I’d still recommend it.
