Hotel Risorgimento

The Lemon Delight dessert was amazing. We went all in on a lemon theme, starting with the wood-fired Amalfi Lemon pizza, and it worked out really well. To order, you can either get a menu or scan the QR code at your table.

We tried several of the many vegetarian pizzas, and every one we ate was delicious. Chef Nicola clearly makes pizza with both experience and heart. Outstanding pizza, highly recommended!

The pizza was the standout for us during our week here on an Amalfi area hiking tour. Nicola, the head pizza chef, is clearly passionate and skilled. He makes everything from the classic margarita to plenty of other combinations, and they were all incredibly good. They all had the same perfect crust. We ate pizza in Rome and Naples too, but this was the best we had in Italy. The breakfast buffet was exceptional as well, and we also loved the food, wine, and cocktails. Risorgimento is in a central spot in San Lazzaro and was a delightful place to stay. Our room wasn’t as modern or up to date as some of our other Italian hotels, but it was nice, very clean, and quiet. This was a highlight of our three weeks in Italy. The town is beautiful and peaceful, and we loved staying here. The hotel sits in the town center with views over the sea. Staff were lovely, and both breakfast and dinner were among the best meals we had on the Amalfi Coast, all made with local ingredients. They also accommodated my gluten intolerance. Highly recommend.
