The hosts told us about the event La Sensa, which I really appreciated. I had hoped for more interaction with them, though. The room was clean and the directions made the place very easy to find. As a couple, we didn’t find it especially intimate, since we could hear our hosts partying and smell their food. And for me, B&B breakfast means fresh food, not cookies and crackers. Staying on the Lido di Venezia island is a good idea: it’s peaceful, prices are cheaper than in Venezia, and there are lots of water bus connections. It’s not far from Venezia either.

From the Lido, St. Mark's Square is only 15 minutes away by vaporetto, while the island itself feels much quieter and more relaxed than central Venice. We loved staying in the villa. The beach was just a few minutes away, perfect for a morning walk by the sea or an evening stroll along the promenade. Our room was bright, spacious, clean, and cozy, with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a modern bathroom. The hosts were warm and helpful, with great suggestions for walks, restaurants, and bars with a true Venetian flair. 🥂

Paolo and Ute’s boat trip was one of the best parts of our weekend in Venice. Paolo was a safe boat driver, and their stories about the country and its people were fascinating to hear, with things you wouldn’t find in a guidebook. We had such a good time on the boat that we’ll remember it for a long time. Thank you!
