I stayed four nights and Carmine and his Mother looked after me so well. Agerola means taking the bus to get anywhere, but the quiet away from the crowds made it worth it. You can manage without a car, though having one helps if you don’t want to follow the bus timetable. The road climbs a mountain and driving isn’t for the faint-hearted. I’d take the bus back.

We spent nine days here and left feeling wonderfully relaxed. The hosts were so welcoming, serving breakfast with a smile and a chat each morning, and their cakes are delicious. They also gave us useful local tips and advice for getting around. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and they changed the towels and made up the sheets daily. There’s private parking if you arrive by car, while the bus stop is a short walk away for trips to Amalfi. We drove to Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii, and Naples, so the location worked very well for us.

I felt lucky to stay here. The hosts are so warm and caring, and the hospitality is hard to match. Our spacious rooms felt clean and homey. Breakfast was phenomenal, especially the homemade cakes and tomatoes from the garden. Grazie Mille!
