The view was spectacular, and the apartment was cozy. The owner made us feel very welcome, and we had a lovely stay. Aggius is a gem too. Those were the best two nights of our two weeks on Sardinia.

Aggius is a beautiful village, with much of it built from granite stone. Our apartment was clean and a good size, with a balcony overlooking the surrounding area and mountains. Cristina was a friendly host who knew the area well. She suggested local sights, hiking trails, and beaches to visit. I’d highly recommend Aggius and La Vignaredda.

Cristina knows the area and Sardinia inside out, and gave us excellent ideas for things to do in and around Aggius. The flat has authentic antique furniture and a kitchen stocked with all the utensils you need. It’s right in the heart of a charming little Italian village full of character. Aggius is close to the coast, but it’s a good place to get away from the crowds and enjoy cooler summer weather. It’s also a great starting point for excursions on Monte Limbara. Cristina is a wonderful host.

Aggius is a quiet, lovely village in beautiful mountain surroundings, with fewer tourists than some of the northern coastal areas. We visited both the north-west and north-east of Sardinia, and found Aggius well placed for seeing both. It’s about an hour’s drive from Olbia airport, so you’ll need to hire a car if you stay here. Cristina was a fantastic host, always available for questions and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay a good one. She was flexible, accommodating, and suggested lots of lovely places to visit, which we really appreciated. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything we needed, and the balcony had a stunning mountain view.
