Baia di Ulisse Wellness & SPA

The grounds and hotel are beautiful, with a lovely pool and beach. But the service, apart from the breakfast staff, was terrible and brought the place down from a 4 or 5 star experience to a 2 star one. Management needs to address it. The front desk gentleman was extremely rude to people in our tour group. Housekeeping didn't replace the toilet paper or plastic cups, and there were no tissues in the rooms. One group member bought a cup of wine, served in plastic, which was fine, but was told she had to finish it at the bar and couldn't take it to her room. Really? We stayed two nights in early October 2025 as part of a tour group.

The rooms were a decent size and clean, and the pool was well maintained. There are a couple of restaurants nearby and access to the waterfront, though getting back to the hotel can be a bit difficult. Staff were mixed, some helpful and others not very friendly. We stayed four nights. On two mornings, the cleaning staff came into our room before 9 without knocking. And on the day we put up the sign asking for the room to be cleaned, it wasn't.

The pool area was pleasant when it wasn't crowded, and the outdoor restaurant space had a nice modern covered area, though there were lots of steps. Still, this wasn't what we expected, especially after paying to upgrade to an ocean view room. You could technically see a glimpse of the sea through trees by the pool, but that wasn't what the brochure suggested. Breakfast had very few options and service was slow. The main bar was meant to be open but stayed closed for two of our days, so we used the pool bar and its dirty plastic cups. I understand there may have been a dishwasher issue, but with the main bar open we could have relaxed on the covered outdoor deck with proper clean glasses, away from the pool. The showers were tiny and leaked, which seemed to be the tour group's general view. The private beach section charged for towels and sun beds, apparently not included with the room upgrade. Food options were limited, and there was nothing “next door.” Sorry, this was disappointing. If I like somewhere, I'll post accordingly.

The pool was superb, with stylish sunbeds, and though there are quite a few steps down to the private beach, it was worth the walk. The food hit the right balance in quantity and had decent variety. We stayed on 30th and 31st May 2025 with a Riviera Tour Group. Baia di Ulisse was everything the second hotel on our tour wasn't. It was charming and well appointed, with tasteful furnishings and decorations. The beds were extremely comfortable, the pillows wonderfully fluffy, and the rooms well laid out, with balconies offering good privacy.
