I've stayed at DOMUS ANTIQUA B&B twice, once in summer 2016 and again in the fall. Both stays were wonderful, and I slept almost divinely. It's just a short walk from the historic centre of Agrigento (AG), which I enjoyed visiting and admiring during those trips.

We booked through an agency and paid the price of a 5-star hotel. When we got to the B&B, instead of being welcomed at the place we'd booked and paid for in advance, we were sent to an old, dirty friend's house with a miserable room. Other strangers were staying there too. We couldn't accept those conditions, so we went back home and our vacation was ruined. The owners refused to speak to us on the phone. We lost our holiday and they took our money. I hope the website and police can help us get it back. A truly negative experience.

Getting to the center is a hassle, with a thousand steep steps in the way. The place is narrow, has no parking, and feels inconveniently far from town.
