Enzo was really nice and available, and even spoke a little French. He let us leave our things in the shared part of the BnB and collect them after checkout, making this the best lodging experience of our Sicily trip, despite unrelated complications in the city. The place is on via Atenea, which we found was the city’s beating heart during the local saint Calogero celebration on July 13-14. There are processions in the street then, so keep that in mind if you plan to book a taxi.

A lovely balcony and a comfortable bed with good pillows. The host was wonderful, and the location was handy for shops, restaurants, a supermarket, and the bus and train station.
