Good location and parking, but the basics were missing. The apartment was freezing because the heating hadn’t been turned on. There was just one small heater in the room, and it warmed up so slowly that it barely helped before checkout. Worse, there was no hot water. I had to leave the shower still dirty, then dry my unwashed hair and spend ages trying to work out what was wrong. That’s completely unacceptable. For a one-night stay, it was a disaster. You book a place expecting a warm bed and hot water, not to troubleshoot basic amenities. I wasn’t expecting luxury, but even the basics weren’t there. A very poor stay and not worth it, even for a short visit.

Giacomo’s kindness was invaluable, and his local tips for restaurants, bars, and ice cream places were excellent value. At MieleZenzero, we felt right at home in the spotlessly clean rooms. It’s around a 5-7 minute walk from Agrigento’s central train station and 12-15 minutes from Via Atenea, the main street.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and from the common room terrace there’s a lovely view over the valley and out to sea. Giacomo was kind, always available, and full of suggestions for things to do and places to visit. The B&B is clean and decorated with taste, using bright colors that give it a cheerful feel. Near the historic center, it’s a handy base for the city, the seaside towns, and the Valley of the Temples. A lovely place, highly recommended for a few days in Agrigento.

Our bedroom had a sea view and air conditioning, and both the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. The house was very clean and well looked after, with parking available underneath. It’s also very conveniently located just steps from the historic center. The host was extremely helpful and hospitable, and we had a great time.

The owners were very friendly and ready to share any information visitors might need. MieleZenzero is a charming, well-kept B&B, with cozy, colorful rooms and a spotless bathroom. It’s only a short walk to the center. Highly recommended!
