Barbara was quick to answer our questions and helped make our one-night visit memorable. She let us use a parking space inside the gated area, which felt much more secure than leaving the car on the street overnight, and booked us a table at Sal8. Breakfast the next morning was a lovely Italian-style spread. Our room looked just like the pictures and was really nice, with AC that worked well in the 35-40C heat. My wife and I had a great stay.

Barbara was a friendly, helpful host. The room was modern and luxurious, but still charming and practical, with a good bed. It was spotless, and the sea and Valley of the Temples views were superb. The location works well too, beside a lovely boulevard lined with restaurants that leads to the old town. There’s a modern elevator as well.

We loved our stay. The place is clean and smoke-free, and the rooms have lots of modern touches: big smart TVs, rainfall showers with mood lighting, mirror and temperature controls, balconies overlooking the ocean, keypad entry at the front and key cards for the rooms. Breakfast is provided, and there are restaurants within walking distance. We found street parking without trouble, even with an SUV. One thing we couldn’t find was a USB outlet, so we needed adapters for regular plugs. The driveway is steep, so it suits people who are comfortable walking on hills.

The location was brilliant, and our apartment was in perfect condition with beautiful design. Our host went to a lot of effort to bring the freshest fruit and pastries for breakfast. Agrigento is a great base for the Valley of the Temples, a must-see archaeological site, and for finding some of Sicily’s best restaurants.
