The value for money is excellent, with single, double, and triple rooms, each with its own bathroom. The bus station is three blocks away and the train station six. You can walk to the Cathedral and the other city sights in under half an hour. A bus to the Valley of the Temples takes about 10 minutes and costs €1.20, and the same bus also goes to the beaches.

Mr. Rino welcomed us and made us feel right at home. He's exceptionally courteous, kind, and helpful, one of those people you don't meet often. My husband and I spent four carefree days at the B&B, with a comfortable bed and everything we needed to relax. Breakfast was a treat: warm croissants in different flavors, jam, Nutella, fruit juice, cappuccino, and finally a delicious coffee. We had a lovely stay and hope to return. A warm hug to Mr. Rino.

At Al Mandorlo, you're a guest in Rino's home rather than staying in a hotel, and that comes with both benefits and drawbacks. The rooms were clean and quiet, the location was convenient for the city center, parking was free, and the Italian breakfast was good. The one frustration was having to wait our turn for breakfast, since there's only one table indoors; the other is outside under the gazebo. We had a great time. Enjoy your trip!

For a short stay, the location and parking are really convenient, and the price is very good for what you get. The rooms have air conditioning, stay cool, and are well equipped, though the decor is a little vintage. The owner is friendly and happy to share information about what to see in Agrigento. Breakfast is simple but good. For a longer stay, I'd choose somewhere outside the city.
