B&B Acropolis

There’s a slow elevator, which helps if you have heavy suitcases. This B&B is on the second floor of a building in a fairly central area. It’s reasonably clean. Breakfast isn’t served on site, but they provide it at a great café just down the street.

Emanuel, the owner, was incredibly kind and helpful, and I’d definitely stay here again. I spent three nights at the B&B and really enjoyed it. It’s centrally placed for going out on foot in the evenings. My room was very clean and had an en-suite bathroom, a handy mini-fridge, air conditioning, and a flat-screen TV. There was also a balcony overlooking the square. Breakfast was at the café in the square, just 20 meters away.

Being close to the center meant we could get around Agropoli without a car, including a visit to the village. Besides the castle, there’s the Acropolis Museum, with some truly beautiful works, including pieces by Dematteis. The town felt welcoming, and we had a wonderful weekend at this property, which is tastefully furnished with modern amenities and everything we needed. The room smelled clean. The owner was kind and courteous, as was the woman who kept our room tidy. I’m heading home with a lovely photo album from these days.
