M & M

The owners have kept both the rooms and the studio apartment in immaculate condition, and they were always kind and easy to reach. We’ve been coming back at least once a year for years. You can walk to the nearest beach and seafront in a few minutes, and the center is just a minute away on a quiet street. The municipal parking lot is about a five-minute walk, so there’s no need for a car unless you plan to go beyond the center. A perfect B&B, highly recommended.

Barbara made the stay especially nice, always welcoming, kind, and available. The place is spotless and carefully maintained, with tasteful furnishings, and the prices are very fair. It’s right in the center. I spent a few lovely days here and couldn’t have asked for more. I’d return without hesitation.

The room is spacious and clean, and I can see it working well in summer for someone who doesn’t mind a room facing the street. But my January stay, while I was there for a regatta, was a bad fit for winter. It was a ground-floor studio facing the street, and I wouldn’t have chosen it if I’d known what to expect. I understand and agree with saving energy, but the room was cold in the middle of winter. The air conditioning seems sized for summer and didn’t heat it well, the bathroom had no heat at all, and leaving the room switched off the air conditioning. They shouldn’t be taking guests in winter! It’s bed but no breakfast, which I understand, though a few tea bags or instant coffee would cost very little and help with that “Bethlehem on Christmas Eve” feeling. Absolutely avoid it from November through May. I’m not giving it one star only because, despite the inadequate wall fittings, the room itself is roomy and clean.

Our winter break at M&M was really pleasant. The room was new, very clean, and roomy enough even for a longer summer stay. Its location is ideal for walking to all the sights and attractions. I’d definitely recommend it.
