It was a disappointing stay in a lot of ways. On arrival Monday afternoon, the bathroom floor had hairs on it, and the soap dispensers were OPEN and left by the previous guest. The owner offered to arrange cleaning, but I declined, hoping it would be done more thoroughly the next day. It wasn’t. The notice in the room said linens were changed every 3 days. On Thursday, there was nothing clean, just some really dirty towels HANGING UP. Usually clean towels go on the bed or in the laundry basket. The breakfast had very little variety, and when I asked for one extra drink, a coffee pod or fruit juice, she said no. At checkout, the lady didn’t even say goodbye. Her assistant was sent to CHECK the room. I think they’d only started doing this that morning, since the broken shower rod and locked, unusable safe would have been noticed before. The “kitchen” isn’t usable. The owner took away the only pot without warning, saying it was for another guest with a child. The lady has three apartments and only one pot, haha. When I asked why, she brought me a milk boiler with a fork at its throat and said the kitchen wasn’t listed in Booking’s amenities. So why were there a coffee machine and milk boiler listed if there’s nothing in the room? They were promptly deleted after I pointed it out. And why post photos of the kitchen on Booking.com, just to lure guests? I’d say so. The KITCHENETTE IS listed in Trip Advisor’s amenities! There was also a phone call after I’d left, warning me that she’d report me on Booking for bad behavior if I wrote a negative review. I’m sorry, but empathy and helpfulness aren’t for everyone, especially the lady. This job isn’t for everyone either. Obviously, I don’t recommend it.
