Residence Verdemare

It smelled of sewage and the furniture was broken. I spent a weekend there in June, and they called what was basically a SHACK an “apartment.” It was dirty, a kind of attic with a friend, a little ghost. Getting to it meant walking through a forest and under other people's clothes, and I nearly fell on the aluminum stairs. It felt like a horror movie. I would have given it zero stars.

The sea-facing location was really convenient, and the accommodation was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, too. Special thanks to Laura for being so professional and attentive. My experience was more than positive.

I'm here with my family in a first-floor apartment, and the building is run-down. The pictures they show aren't real. They charged €30 for cleaning when we arrived, though there was no cleaning. The place is neglected and has no maintenance; it feels like all they care about is making money. We’ve had problems with parking, insects, and not having enough dishes. I don’t know who to contact because the receptionist never answers the phone. Customer service is zero. Very disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The favelas are nothing compared to this.

I’ve stayed at this residence a few times and keep coming back for the location and good value. The owner and staff are truly unique. It could use a bit of maintenance, though. Make a few small fixes and it’d be 100%. I still highly recommend it.
