Booking.com tried to help find an exception because of how serious the situation was, but the host blocked communication and never answered our questions. I had to cancel for health reasons and sent a hospital certificate confirming my condition. The host still said the reason wasn't valid and refused to accept the cancellation. They also said we hadn't shown up, even though our booking terms allowed free cancellation until August 17th. I found the whole response unacceptable and insensitive, and wouldn't recommend this host to anyone looking for fair, humane treatment.

The price felt very fair for what we got. In a beautiful village where time seems to have stood still, we were welcomed into a modern B&B with all the comforts. The owner was very kind. Well worth a visit.

The bathroom was much bigger than you usually get, and the room was pleasant and nicely equipped. Hospitality and cleanliness both deserve top marks. Congratulations!

It's a peaceful spot in one of Italy's most beautiful villages, but the phones couldn't be reached and there was no Wi-Fi.

A relaxing stay, with culture and good food as part of the experience.
